Father’s Day
21. May 2009 von -buck
Not too long ago, we made fun of parents. People who did not hesitate (or lament, for that matter) to pin strange and unrecognizable color schemes to prominent places in their house – the fridge door, in this connection, is a rather hidden place! Or who proudly presented an unglased lump of clay with frightening excrescences and a hardly noteable dimple in the middle [1] as an ashtray their offspring made, despite the fact that they didn’t smoke at all and never had. These things then stood in the middle of the living room table, singled out by a bright spotlight.
Now, I’m father of a daughter of exactly 2 years, 8 months and 21 days, and I’m unspeakably proud of my little girl and everything she does and creates. Today, for daddy-day, I got two mugs she painted herself – one for at home and one for the office. And because the internet beats the pants off every fridge door and every well-lit living room table when it comes to presenting such works of art to a broader audience, with fatherly pride I present:
And since proud parents are not only proud of the works of their children, but also and not less of the children themselves, here are two shots from the work in progress:

Hallo -buck,

That’s it!
